Magda Fontana is an economist at the Department of Economics and Statistics, University of Turin, working in complexity economics, agent-based modeling and data science. She is research area coordinator for Complexity Economics within the European Association for Evolutionary Political Economy, director of the Master in Data Science for Complex Economic Systems, and Senior Researcher at the Despina Big Data Lab.

Her current research areas are Science of Science, Diffusion of Innovation, Switching Behavior in the  Electricity Market, Pluralism in Economics
